Ten years of ups and downs of theme park - part one

In the past ten years, primary school students have grown into college students; in the past ten years, young people have become uncles; in the past ten years, black hair has gradually turned gray; in the past ten years, the stock market has been rising and falling again; in the past ten years, the house price in Shanghai has doubled six times; in the past ten years, the theme park industry has been reincarnated.           

2009: set sail           

Back to ten years ago, theme parks existed as a small classification of tourism industry in China, and most of the tourism majors did not regard them as a research object.           

In the last year of 2009, the US subprime crisis spread all over the world, and its impact on China cannot be ignored. 2009 has become one of the most difficult years for graduates to get employment. But in the same year, the housing market began to boom and house prices began to rise rapidly.           

In April 2009, influenza A (H1N1) broke out in Mexico and spread rapidly around the world. Affected by the economic crisis and H1N1, the number of visitors to theme parks around the world has decreased significantly. The top 25 theme parks in the world have 186 million visitors, 0.2% less than that in 2008. The top 10 theme parks in Asia had 65.5 million visitors, down 3.5% from the previous year. In 2009, the world's largest park was the Magic Kingdom of Florida, with a total annual passenger flow of 17.233 million. There is no paradise in mainland China in the top 25 in the world. Hong Kong Ocean Park and Hong Kong Disneyland, as the best parks in China, rank 14th and 17th in the world. The top 15 listed parks in mainland China in Asia include Shenzhen happy valley, window of the world, Guangzhou Changlong, Chengdu Happy Valley and Beijing Happy Valley, all of which are located in the Pearl River Delta region, with the majority of Happy Valley series.

2009 is an important year for overseas Chinese town group's tourism projects to make efforts to the outside world. Chengdu Happy Valley opened in January, the eastern overseas Chinese town opened in August, and Shanghai happy valley opened in September; Yunnan Overseas Chinese town opened in November, and Wuhan overseas Chinese town laid the foundation in December. In the same year, the new mascot image of Happy Valley - "happy, happy and small valley" was officially released. Matching with the business development, "Happy Valley chain operation standard system" was launched in an all-round way. "Happy Valley" can be called China's first independent innovation theme park chain brand. In that year, Happy Valley officially opened its chain operation.

At the same time, in Changzhou, a city in the Yangtze River Delta, several water park equipment are in full swing. Changzhou is located in the south of the Yangtze River Delta, the center of the Yangtze River Delta. It has been a rich place since ancient times. It is not rich in tourist attractions. However, in 2001, Changzhou was awarded the title of "China's excellent tourist city". Among them, "China Dinosaur Park" has played an important role. In 2009, cook Suk District, the third phase of the Chinese Dinosaur Park, is under construction. This is the first large-scale and large-scale expansion of the new park of the Chinese Dinosaur Park, and also an important starting point for its rapid development. In the same year, the dragon warrior of dinosaur baby was broadcast on CCTV. The four dinosaur babies are the cartoon brand image specially created by the Chinese Dinosaur Park. Meanwhile, as the cartoon image of the park, the development of derivative products based on the four cartoon images of the park was launched in an all-round way.

In 2009, Changzhou was destined to be extraordinary. Another paradise, the global animation and play Valley, started construction, covering an area of 600000 square meters, with an investment of 2 billion yuan. With the theme of animation and game experience, the area was named "hero gate, Taobao street, Moore Manor, legendary world, world of Warcraft, interstellar legend, mysterious island, temple mountain", etc., drawing on "StarCraft", "world of Warcraft" "Legend" and other game scenes.

It is 25km away from the global animation play Valley, and the spring and autumn Yancheng Park, which belongs to Wujin District of Changzhou, is also under intense engineering construction. Relying on the 2500 year old Yancheng site in the spring and Autumn period, this spring and autumn culture experience park with the theme of spring and autumn culture is added on the basis of the built antique culture business street, Yancheng Museum and wildlife park.

Changzhou's three parks opened on May 1, 2010. Because of the existence of these three different theme parks, Changzhou is known as "China's Orlando" (Orlando in the United States is recognized as the capital of the world's theme parks).           

In addition, in 2009, Wanda Group began to invest in Changbai Mountain Resort, taking the cultural tourism industry as the new development direction of the enterprise; Walt Disney Company of the United States officially announced that it plans to build the sixth Disneyland in the world in Pudong together with the Shanghai municipal government. The expansion of Hong Kong Disneyland is planned to start. In the future, three theme parks will be added, i.e. the lost manor, grizzly Valley and the anti fighting base camp.

At the end of 2009, the State Council issued a document "opinions on accelerating the development of tourism", which put forward a new orientation for tourism, pointing out the grand goal of cultivating tourism into a strategic pillar industry of the national economy and a modern service industry that the people are more satisfied with. It is suggested that the development of large-scale theme parks should be standardized. Good news for tourism and theme park industry.
